AI Text Summarizer Privacy Policy
The extension may process text you highlight on a webpage, as well as page content you explicitly ask it to analyze for full-page summaries.
This processing starts locally in your browser. Content is sent to the AI provider you selected only when you request a summary.
If you use OpenAI or Google Gemini, the API key you enter is stored in Chrome extension storage on your device, typically using chrome.storage.sync.
We do not receive, store, or manage your API keys on our own servers.
The extension stores the settings needed to provide its functionality, including AI provider selection, model selection, response language, UI language, custom prompt preferences, and other configuration choices.
These settings remain in Chrome extension storage and may sync across your Chrome profile if Chrome Sync is enabled.
The extension is also available on webpages you visit so it can support text selection, floating actions, and full-page summarization UI. Page content is not sent to any AI provider unless you explicitly trigger a summarization action.
- Selected text or extracted page content is sent directly from your browser.

Interface rendering, local settings management, and visual card generation are performed locally in your browser.
These services process your requests according to their own terms and privacy policies. Review them carefully before using the extension.
- Local settings and API keys remain stored until you remove them, clear Chrome extension storage, or uninstall the extension.
- Summarization request content is not retained by us.
- Third-party processing may follow the retention policies of OpenAI or Google.
- API communications use HTTPS.

- No summarization data is transmitted to our own servers.
No software system can guarantee absolute security, but we aim to minimize data handling by keeping processing local where possible and sending requests directly to the provider you selected.
This extension is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
